Hi and Welcome to my website!

This site is about me… but not just about me. To break “me” down to my core element, I’m a musician. So, yes, I want to share some of my music and sound design with you. But I especially want to share the path of having had a passion for music at a very early age, and to spin that into a career.

In my career, I’ve zigzagged across many aspects of making a living in music. And it adds up to a life and career that’s hard to explain in an elevator ride.

Teaching was a natural thing for me. I played in a band in the 80’s when you could make a living that way. I knew I could master necessary electronic and coding concepts. I was in grad school – by design – during the digital-audio revolution. From there I nabbed a job at Atari Games as a composer and sound designer… then, at Leapfrog (toys), I landed the Director of Music & Audio position. And then I got hired by Microsoft, leading a team in the design of text-to-speech voices through the AI revolution.

I only wanted jobs with music or sound design as an element. Putting in the practice and studies along the way has been rewarding and fun, too.
